NEW efficacy test demonstrates Rely+On™ Virkon™ inactivates the SARS-CoV-2 virus (COVID-19) at an economical in-use dilution rate of 1:500 – 0.2%.
With the powerful disinfectant already proven to rapidly kill the SARS-CoV-2 virus at a dilution of 1:100 -1%, in JUST 60 SECONDS on hard surfaces, floors walls, worktops etc., there was also a need to demonstrate Rely-On™ Virkon™ can inactivate the virus at a lower dilution rate. Firstly, where materials compatibility1 may be of concern, such as on carpets, soft furnishings and leather upholstery and secondly in areas where this virus is the target pathogen2.
Therefore, a recent study undertaken by an independent US microbiological test laboratory3 concluded that Rely+On™ Virkon™ inactivated the SARS-CoV-2 virus at a 1:500 / 0.2% in-use dilution rate with a CONTACT TIME of 10 MINUTES.
